Work-life Balance
Regardless of your occupation in life, once in a while you will have a bad day at the office. It sometimes starts with a few things going wrong or not our way in the morning and at home. Then the traffic to work makes it worse and the day usually culminates in a tiff with the boss. By the time you knock off and pack your bags to go home in the afternoon and call it a day, you feel drained of all energy, you are edgy, irritable and wondering why you are working here in the first place. These are the accepted turns and turbulations of the world of work.
The challenge arises when these bad days at the office become weeks or even months. Things can deteriorate to such an extent that you simply hate your job. You would rather be elsewhere than see your colleagues, your boss or even the logo of your company one more day. Deep in your heart you know the only thing that keeps you there is need to pay the bills and keep your kids at school. Your are not the first person to feel like that.
This is the time to talk to someone before you do something impulsive like resigning in a huff whilst you have no other source of income. Me and my colleagues are intending to be that someone. Because we have been there, done that.
This website is still work in progress as we have not yet reached a stage where can start working. Our initial thoughts are for this site to be a free service, but we were advised that our customers will expect a 24-7 service, so someone must man the desk. There are also issues of privacy and cyber security. So, we are currently working on a most affordable cost model.
